Unique Experiences in Singapore

With all the unique things to do in Singapore, there is never an excuse to be bored. Once you have ridden the tallest roller coaster in the world, visited the underwater world and shopped till you dropped, you have only just begun to experience what Singapore has to offer. Here is a guide to some of the most unusual things to do in Singapore that will keep you busy for hours on end.

Escape to a secluded island and spend the night in a tree house at Pulau Joyo.Have a custom suit made by Singapore’s talented and well-known tailor, Kevin Seah.

Go for a walk on the rocky coastal cliff trails at the Labrador Nature Reserve, and take in the remarkable views of the surrounding islands from the lookout point.

Create your own work of art by painting a piece of porcelain pottery. Ming Village is situated on the west side of the island and is the only culture center left of its kind. Watch skilled artists go through the steps of making and painting porcelain.

Handle the birds of prey at the Jurong Bird Park and learn the skill of being a falconer.

Tour the city and the harbor on a Ducktour truck and boat vehicle all-in-one. You will embark on both a land and sea adventure that is one of the winners of the “Singapore’s Tourism Awards.”

Be bold and eat some deep fried insects at the Imperial Herbal Kitchen, such as scorpions and ants.

Board the River Safari and visit the freshwater habitats of some really cool creatures, including enormous catfish, anacondas and giant pandas.

For an outlandish, fun and scary venture, take a spooky guided hike on the SPI Ghoulish Trail. It is an astonishing excursion through unbeaten paths, with captivating interpretations and myths of paranormal hauntings and sightings, mysterious happenings, gruesome tales and fierce stories of deaths.

Party until the sun comes up at the many fabulous clubs along Mohamed Sultan Road. It is the hottest nightlife scene on the island.

Tour the Changi WWII War Trail and Museum, and step into the past of Singapore at the time of the intense war.

If you are looking for an extremely bizarre experience, spend an evening at the Clinic Bar located inside the Clarke Quay shopping mall. Sip on yummy drinks served in hospital equipment, while sitting on hospitals beds or in wheelchairs. Try a cocktail served in an IV drip bag.

Fulfill your dreams of swinging with trapeze artists, or simply watch others while munching on pizza. The Flying Trapeze Net is situated in the Sentosa Island Resort at the Trapizza, an outdoor Italian-style family restaurant that is fun for everyone.
