Something for Every Horse Enthusiast in Singapore

Horse enthusiasts will find a wide array of equestrian activities in Singapore. From polo and horse racing to picturesque horseback riding trails, Singapore has something for everyone whether they are a novice or an expert when it comes to horses.

Horseback Riding
There are several horseback riding facilities in Singapore that cater to every level of equestrian from beginners to experts, children to adults. Some facilities are clubs and require membership such as the Bukit Timah Saddle Club. The Bukit Timah Saddle Club offers casual rides as well as training in riding and competitions. Horsecity, on the other hand, is open to the public and requires no membership. Here, horse enthusiasts can enjoy trail rides, carriage rides and pony rides as well as take private or group lessons in horseback riding and horse care.

Polo
Since the late 1800′s the Singapore Polo Club has been providing polo fans a place to play and watch this horse sport. In recent years, the club has broadened its activities to include riding lessons for people of all ages, horseback riding activities and competitions in dressage and jumping.

Horse Racing
Horse racing enthusiasts can watch and bet on live horse racing at the Singapore Turf Club. This is the home of the Kranji race track which has several race tracks. Here horses race on either the long or short course turf track. There is also a smaller poly track which is suitable for racing under any weather conditions. Live races are run on Fridays and Sundays with a mix of day and night races. The Turf Club is home to Singapore’s Triple Crown Series which is held annually in October and November. In addition to racing, the Turf Club has a riding center which focuses on providing riding services to school-age children at affordable prices.
